Description
Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser loaded with thin-sliced steak, melted provolone, caramelized onions, and a buttery garlic topping. Perfect for game day or an easy dinner!
Ingredients
1 (12-count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
8 slices provolone cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add onions and peppers; cook until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
3. Add the sliced steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until just browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
4. Slice the rolls in half horizontally (keep them connected). Place the bottom half in the prepared dish.
5. Layer steak mixture evenly over rolls, then top with provolone cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and garlic powder. Brush evenly over the tops of the rolls.
7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
8. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
Notes
Use shaved roast beef for a shortcut version.
Try swapping provolone for white American or mozzarella cheese.
Add mushrooms for extra flavor — classic Philly style!
