Description

Delightful bite-sized popcorn chicken offering a perfect combination of crunch and flavor. Ideal for family dinners and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by placing it in a bowl and pouring in buttermilk. Let sit for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dredge the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  5. Fry the chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, achieving an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Drain excess oil by placing fried chicken on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces like ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate overnight and keep oil temperature consistent for best frying results.
