Ingredients

1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp natural purple food coloring
1 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line pans with parchment.
2. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt into a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla, lemon juice, and food coloring.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth. Do not overmix.
