Description
This Sausage Cheese Dip is creamy, spicy, and absolutely irresistible made with melted cheeses, zesty sausage, and tomatoes with green chilies. Perfect for parties, game days, or any time you crave a warm, cheesy snack!
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)
1 (8 oz / 225 g) block cream cheese, softened
1 (10 oz / 284 g) can diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel)
2 cups (about 200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
Optional toppings: chopped green onions, cilantro, or diced jalapeños
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
2. Stir in the can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (do not drain). Simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
3. Reduce heat to low. Add the cream cheese, cheddar, and mozzarella. Stir until melted and smooth.
4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and adjust to taste.
5. Transfer to a serving bowl or a small slow cooker to keep warm. Top with green onions, cilantro, or jalapeños if desired.
