Description

Easy, elegant, and full of flavor  these Smoked Salmon Pinwheels are the perfect bite-sized appetizer for brunches, parties, or light snacks.


Ingredients

1 large tortilla (flour or spinach wrap)

4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp capers, chopped (optional)

34 oz (85–115 g) smoked salmon slices

¼ cucumber, thinly sliced (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, dill, lemon juice, and capers. Season lightly.

2. Lay tortilla flat and spread the mixture evenly over the surface.

3. Layer smoked salmon and cucumber slices evenly on top.

4. Roll the tortilla tightly and wrap in plastic wrap.

5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.

6. Slice into ½-inch pinwheels.

7. Serve chilled, garnished with dill or lemon wedges.

Notes

You can substitute lavash bread for easier rolling.

For a lighter version, mix Greek yogurt with the cream cheese.

Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before serving.
