Description
Fluffy bread with melted cheese and caramelized onions for the ultimate comfort bake.
Ingredients
3 cups bread flour
2 tsp instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp olive oil
1 ½ cups grated cheese (cheddar + mozzarella mix)
2 large onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
2. Add water and olive oil; knead until smooth.
3. Let rise until doubled in size.
4. Caramelize onions in a skillet over low heat.
5. Roll dough, layer cheese and onions, fold or roll up.
6. Place in greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise again.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
8. Cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, caramelize onions with a pinch of sugar.
Use fresh herbs to change the flavor profile.
