Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare and grease three 9-inch round cake pans.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture, and mix for about 2 minutes on medium speed.
- Stir in the boiling water carefully to create a thin batter.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Make the frosting by beating cream cheese and butter, then gradually add powdered sugar and pureed strawberries.
- Assemble the cake with layers of cake, strawberry jam, and sliced strawberries.
- Frost the entire cake generously with the strawberry cream cheese frosting.
- Decorate as desired and serve.
