Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for the whipped cream)

  • 1 pound pound cake, cut into small cubes
  • Optional garnish: fresh mint leaves or chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove the tops, and slice them. Toss with sugar and let sit for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Make the Whipped Cream: In a bowl, combine cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Cube the Pound Cake: Slice or bake pound cake and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Assemble the Shooters: Layer cubed pound cake, strawberries with syrup, and whipped cream in serving cups.
  5. Garnish: Optionally add mint leaves or chocolate shavings on top.
  6. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
