4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced

2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
3. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water, then stir into the sauce.

5. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Notes
You can bake the salmon instead — 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, then brush with sauce before serving.
For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
