Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan before transferring to a plate.
- Decorate with frosting and colorful sprinkles to create a festive look for Valentine’s Day.
Notes
Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for about a week. Allow it to come to room temperature before serving.
