Description

Delightful homemade jams combining fresh fruits and spicy peppers for a unique flavor experience.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g fresh blackberries
  • 2 large jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 300g granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 packet pectin (25g)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 500g fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 500g ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 12 habanero peppers, finely chopped
  • 500g fresh pineapple, finely chopped
  • 2 serrano peppers, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Crush blackberries in a pot.
  2. Add chopped jalapeños, sugar, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
  3. Bring to a rolling boil.
  4. Keep boiling for 5 minutes, skim foam.
  5. Add pectin and boil for 1 more minute.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes, jar, and refrigerate.
  7. Mash strawberries in another pot.
  8. Mix in jalapeños, sugar, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
  9. Boil while stirring.
  10. Boil for 5 minutes, skim foam.
  11. Add pectin, boil for 1 minute.
  12. Cool for 5 minutes, jar, and refrigerate.
  13. Prep peaches, mash lightly.
  14. Add chopped habaneros, sugar, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
  15. Bring to a rolling boil.
  16. Boil for 5 minutes, skim foam.
  17. Add pectin, boil for 1 minute.
  18. Cool for 5 minutes, jar, and seal.
  19. Chop pineapple, combine with serrano peppers, sugar, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
  20. Heat to a rolling boil.
  21. Cook for 5 minutes, skim foam.
  22. Add pectin and boil for 1 minute.
  23. Cool for 5 minutes, jar, and seal.

Notes

Ensure all jars are sterilized before use and taste the jam before jarring to adjust sweetness or acidity.
