Ingredients

- 2 cups pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional), for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes).
- In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the boiling pasta.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli in a colander, shaking off excess water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and toss again to incorporate.
- Serve warm, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
