Description

A quick and nutritious meal combining fresh vegetables and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights or weekend lunches.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional), for serving

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes).
  2. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the boiling pasta.
  3. Drain the pasta and broccoli in a colander, shaking off excess water.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and toss again to incorporate.
  7. Serve warm, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
