Description

A delightful combination of sweet prawns and comforting orzo pasta, enhanced with garlic and butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g orzo pasta
  • 300g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic and shallot until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Cook the prawns until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Add the orzo and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer the mixture, cover, and cook until the orzo is al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Use fresh prawns for the best flavor. Don’t overcook the prawns to ensure they remain juicy.
