- 200g orzo pasta
- 300g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Sauté the minced garlic and shallot until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
- Cook the prawns until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Add the orzo and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
- Simmer the mixture, cover, and cook until the orzo is al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Use fresh prawns for the best flavor. Don’t overcook the prawns to ensure they remain juicy.
