Nutella French Toast Roll-Ups

Description

A delightful twist on traditional French toast, these roll-ups are stuffed with creamy Nutella and fried until golden brown, making them a perfect breakfast treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • Nutella (as much as you like)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Flatten the bread using a rolling pin until about a quarter of an inch thick.
  2. Spread Nutella generously over the surface of each slice.
  3. Roll up each slice tightly from one end to the other.
  4. Prepare the egg mixture by whisking together the egg and milk until combined.
  5. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating all sides evenly.
  7. Cook roll-ups seam side down until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Prepare a mixture of cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
  9. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the hot roll-ups as soon as they come out of the skillet.
  10. Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruits, or whipped cream.

Notes

Use fresh bread for best results and feel free to add fruits or nuts inside for extra flavor.
