Description

A delightful fusion of cinnamon rolls and strawberry cheesecake, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix the melted butter, milk, and egg in a separate bowl until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries in another bowl.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border.
  8. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top of the cream cheese filling.
  9. Roll up the dough from one long side to form a tight log.
  10. Cut the log into 12 equal slices using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  11. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, close together but not touching.
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and fluffy.
  13. Allow the rolls to cool in the dish for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with cream cheese frosting or glaze. Refrigerate leftovers for up to a week.
