Description

A comforting dish featuring jumbo pasta shells stuffed with meatballs, topped with rich tomato sauce and gooey mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • Jumbo pasta shells
  • Meatballs
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Tomato sauce
  • Italian herbs (basil, oregano)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook jumbo pasta shells until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Prepare a baking dish by spreading a layer of tomato sauce at the bottom.
  4. Stuff each shell with a meatball and arrange them upright in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Add additional tomato sauce over the stuffed shells.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and season with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
  9. Cool the dish slightly before serving.

Notes

You can make this dish ahead of time and freeze it. Thaw in the refrigerator before baking.
